MediMan

Clinical safety

MediMan helps you reach a doctor and keep track of your health. It does not replace emergency care or a doctor’s judgement. Please read this before you use it for your health.

In an emergency

MediMan is not an emergency service. If you or someone with you has severe chest pain, trouble breathing or sudden confusion, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest hospital now. Do not wait for an online appointment.

When online care is not enough

Online consultations suit many everyday concerns, but not problems that need an examination in person, a test or urgent treatment. Your doctor will tell you if you need to be seen in person. If your symptoms get worse after a consultation, seek care in person.

Your doctor decides

Doctors on MediMan are independent professionals. They join after our team reviews their Medical Council registration and identity documents. Advice, diagnosis and any prescription are always the doctor’s decision.

The health tools do not diagnose

  • My Vitals shows the readings you enter. It is not a diagnosis.
  • Medicine reminders follow the schedule you set. They do not give dose advice.
  • The health check-in suggests a type of doctor. It does not diagnose.
  • The period tracker gives estimates. It is not a contraception or fertility tool.
  • Child health tracking does not replace your child’s doctor or clinic.
  • The emergency profile shows your details. It does not call emergency services.

Children

When a child consults a doctor, a parent or legal guardian should be present.
